As Mayor, Greg Hulett provides leadership and direction for the City of Arbyrd. He works closely with the Board of Aldermen and City Clerk to oversee city operations and promote the well-being of the community.

Flora Smith

City Clerk

The Board of Aldermen works with the Mayor to guide city policies, approve budgets, and address the needs of Arbyrd residents. The board consists of elected representatives from the city’s wards, ensuring every part of the community has a voice in local government.

Police Department

Arbyrd Police Department

The Arbyrd Police Department is dedicated to protecting the safety and welfare of all residents and visitors. Officers patrol the community, respond to emergencies, and work proactively to prevent crime and support local safety initiatives.

The City of Arbyrd is served by a  volunteer fire department  consisting of  11 members who respond to emergencies and assist surrounding communities when needed.

Public Works Department

Public Works Department

The Public Works Department oversees the city’s water, sewer, and street systems, ensuring that essential services remain reliable and safe for all residents.


  • Matt Smith – Head of Water Department
    (Arbyrd’s water is supplied by a single artesian well, tested monthly and verified safe for consumption.)
  • Brandon Pashall – Head of Sewer Department
  • Chuck Horton – Maintenance Supervisor


(Responsible for water, sewer, and street repairs and installations.)

Arbyrd Community Library

The Arbyrd Community Library provides library services to Arbyrd and surrounding areas.


This library operates independently and is not affiliated with the Dunklin County Library System.
